These two lovelies posted pictures of where they were a year ago, at Christina’s wedding, and it made me wonder when the year anniversary of my law school graduation was. It’s Sunday, but today is close enough.
While this was a really amazing day, and without question the best graduation in which I was ever a participant, I have only the most fleeting glance of nostalgia. I was happy that day, but the next day I threw myself into bar studying and didn’t emerge as a human being until August.
I now have a few extra pounds and two bar passes behind me. I’ll take it.
And to all the lawblrs who stuck around: KEEP MOVING FORWARD! YOU CAN DO IT! I am the proof!

Not for a while - we had some unfortunate problems with the last swap that sort of put me off of Readrs for a bit. Expect the next swap this summer!

At this point, I will reach out to your Readr swapper - if they don’t respond, they’ll be prevented from any future swaps. I confirmed multiple times that an email was sent to everyone, so there should be no excuses for not sending a book.

Anonymous asked: When can we expect to get our books or rather what is the deadline for us to get them? I think you said they had to be sent out by December 13?
The deadline was December 14, and you had until the end of this week because I did not get the pairings out in a timely manner. If you haven’t sent your books by now, please email me or askbox me to let me know. (I admittedly didn’t get my OWN book out until the 15th!)
Remember, if you don’t send out a book, you can’t participate in a swap again. If it’s going to be late, that’s fine - it’s the holidays and we’re all swamped. However, a book does need to be sent out. I’ll be sending out the official survey on Christmas, and if you haven’t received a book by then your sender will be disqualified unless I’ve gotten an email from them.

I know we’re all crazy with the holidays, but I just want to make sure everyone gets their books okay. At the very least, shoot a message to my askbox and let me know if/when you receive your books. :)

My TumblrReader book came! This is indeed perfect. It’s been on my “to read” list for so long. I’m so glad to finally read it. I love books that have a story, plot development, and teach me something new.
My favorite part about this is that this book has already been well-read and well-loved by three people. The spine is creased and the pages are soft already. The corners are slightly bent, as the book has been held.
I once dated a boy who got quite upset that I bent the spine of his book. You have to take care of books, he said, you have to be gentle. No, I disagreed, you have to love your books.
Also - she totally made that card! And sent me tea and peppermint bark. (Yeah, that candy is gone already, what of it?)
Oh! And lastly, I have to finish all of the Harry Potter books by Christmas (I’m only halfway through the fourth), but this is next on my list as soon as I finish those!

Everyone was provided with their Readr’s Tumblr and should be able to contact via ask box or reply function on their posts.
I haven’t asked people if it’s alright if I disclose emails, so if your Readr doesn’t have their ask box enabled, shoot me a message in MY ask box and I’ll reach out to them. If your Readr just doesn’t have anonymous messages enabled, remember, this isn’t necessarily a secret thing.
